Why parking matters on an hourly move

Councils set their own processes, fees and lead times for temporary parking and work-zone permits. Check with the council for both addresses:
- Lower North Shore: North Sydney, Mosman, Willoughby, Lane Cove and Hunters Hill councils
- Upper North Shore: Ku-ring-gai Council
- Eastern Suburbs: Woollahra, Waverley and Randwick councils
- Northern Beaches: Northern Beaches Council
- City and inner east: City of Sydney and Inner West councils
- Sutherland Shire: Sutherland Shire Council
What to tell your removalist
- Where the truck can legally stop at each address, and for how long
- Clearways, bus lanes or loading zones nearby
- Low trees, overhead wires or narrow laneways
- Whether a smaller shuttle truck may be needed
